Q: ARE YOUR FENCE PANELS TREATED?


A: All of our fence panels, gates and timber components are pressure treated brown, or green, unless stated otherwise on the product.

​Q: WHY IS THERE A VARIATION IN COLOUR?


A: All trees are different and timber treatments penetrate each cut differently. The colour differences will become less pronounced over time and all timber will change colour as it weathers over time..
 

 

Q: CAN I PAINT OR STAIN MY NEW FENCE AND / OR GATE?


A: Once your fence and / or gate has been installed, let the treatment dry for several weeks, it will then be fine to paint or stain.

Alternatively, we are able to paint or stain your installation for an additional fee, using high-quality pet, animal and child-safe paints and stains by Protek.


 

Q:  HOW WIDE ARE YOUR FENCE PANELS?


A: All of our fence panels are 6ft wide (approx 1830mm) unless stated otherwise

Q:  HOW ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MEASURED?


A: We provide product measurements in both feet/inches and millimetres. Unless stated otherwise, or no alternative measurement, is provided, the accurate increment is feet and inches. In this case, millimetres will be approximate.

Q:  IS IT NORMAL FOR TIMBER TO WARP?

 

A: Due to the nature of timber as a material, an element of warping and bending and slight splitting can occur. This is unavoidable and is not considered a defect.

Q:  DO YOU MAKE YOUR OWN PANELS?

 

A: Our close board, picket, tongue and groove fence panels and gates are made by our team on-site, unless otherwise stated.

INSTALLATION

Q: CAN YOU INSTALL MY FENCE AND / OR GATE?

 

A: Absolutely! We have an expert team of fence installers with a wealth of experience. if you'd like supply and install, please give us a call or email and we can give you a free, no-obligation quotation and a lead time.

Q: CAN YOU REPAIR MY EXISTING FENCE?


A: Yes! We are happy to carry out any repairs, as well as providing you with a quote to replace old or damaged fences.

Q: DO YOU COME AND DO A MEASURE?

A: If you require, one of our surveyors will happily attend site / property to measure up.

ORDERING

Q: HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

A: If you wish to purchase products, this can be done from our online shop. If you'd like to opt for bespoke products or installation, we will raise an invoice for this and arrange payment.

Q: I AM NOT NEAR YOUR YARD, HOW CAN I SEE YOUR PRODUCTS?

A: You can view most of our products on our online shop.

Q: CAN I PURCHASE FROM YOUR YARD?

A: Customers are welcome to visit our yard and purchase directly, if they prefer. Our address can be found in the website footer but we advise calling or emailing ahead to check availability. 

PAYMENT

Q:  WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

A: On our website we accept all major card types via our secure checkout, or PayPal.

You can also arrange to pay by BACS or cash, subject to agreement prior to an order being placed.

DELIVERY

Q:  WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE DELIVERED?

A: We deliver Monday to Friday between 8AM - 5PM and your delivery will be arranged with you ahead of time. 

Occasionally during high demand periods we may deliver on a Saturday.  

Q: WHO WILL DELIVER MY ORDER?

A:  Unless stated otherwise, all orders placed on our website will be delivered by a member of the SSR Fencing Ltd team.

Deliveries will be usually made from a sign written vehicle within our group, not this is not always the case. If you'd like the information of the vehicle providing your delivery, this can be provided upon request.

Q:  HOW LONG WILL MY DELIVERY TAKE?

Most items will be ready for delivery or collection within 2-3 working days.

Next day delivery can be offered on most orders for an additional fee.

Please allow longer for bespoke items, an estimated lead time will be provided upon consultation.

Please contact us to ensure ready before arranging collection or delivery.

SSR Fencing Ltd are not liable for unclaimed orders and as such will not hold goods that remain uncollected for 8 weeks, unless a prior arrangement is made in writing.

Q: CAN YOU OFFER TIMED DELIVERY SLOTS?

A: Due to demand, unfortunately we are unable to offer specific delivery times at present.
